GoKarting..

Well I went indoor karting for the first time in 6 years at West Wales Karting based in Haverfordwest. The setup they have there is great, I’d recommend this place to anyone, they have plenty of arrive and drive options available. They also have a cafe and plenty of seating available with a view of the track. I was pretty nervous but excited to sit in a go-kart again after so long but it’s like riding a bike really, you never forget.
In total I did two stints of 25 laps, It took a couple of laps to get into a rhythm but I found one eventually. At West Wales Karting they offer timed laps that you can see on screens dotted around the place. After my first stint on 25 laps I went to check my times, although I can’t remember my exact time I remember that I was 9th fastest of the day out of 15 of the top times throughout the day. I had a 20 minute break between stints and by the time I completed my second stint I managed to climb to 6th fastest of the day! I’d like to think that’s no too bad considering it had been six years since the last time I’d been in a go-kart.
