Elan Valley Mini Run Update..
Well the Elan Valley Mini Run has been and gone! (29th & 30th of July 2017) Unfortunately Bernie the Classic Cooper didn't take part in the event this year 😞 I did the event using my R50 MINI Cooper (so classic mini drivers no hate please) It took its time but we did make it even with some brake issues on the way up! As for Project Burnie I will be progressing with his restoration and keep you all updated with his progress. We might have missed this deadline but there's another event around the corner that is waiting his arrival. Well what can I say about this event, it was absolutely amazing and I already can't wait until next years event! This year saw 200 Minis mixed modern and classic take part and the atmosphere was very friendly and happy, with no divide between new and old Minis everyone was made to feel welcome. The event was organised exceptionally well and I enjoyed every minute of it. I intended to take loads of photographs and even video the run but for some unknown reason all of my memory cards for both cameras had decided to NOT WORK at all! This was extremely annoying as you can imagine, i did manage to get some images on my iPhone though just not as much as I would have liked. Next year is set to be even bigger and better and they are hoping to have 500 Minis attend! This is not an event to be missed so if you have a Mini this is definitely an event to attend next year!
The event did have a photographer (Alan Matravers) present so if you would like to see some brilliant images of every car that attended the event do check out this website http://www.amatravers.co.uk/minirun2017 All images in the link provided are the copy right of the photographer Alan Matravers.
